The Cavalier Cowboys held their monthly 1st Sunday match on September 6th, 2015 at the Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club.

We had 15 cowboy/cowgirl shooters plus several future cowboys watching their first match. The Top Overall Shooter was myself. Congratulations to our 5 Clean All Day Shooters; myself, Swifty McDraw, Prairie City Slim, Virginia Rifleman and Cotton I Joe (shooting his first ever clean match)!!

Next up we have Pungo Posse shooting on this coming Saturday.

Someone left a canvas bag on the range with brass (45 cal) in it. It is locked up in our storage area on the range, let me knows who this belongs to and it will be returned.

The Cavalier Cowboys will be holding the monthly 1st Sunday match, this Sunday, September 6th, at the Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club. With the state match going on and an expected fewer number of shooters this weekend, we will only be shooting in one bay. We will be holding our Cowboy Social Hour after the match.

The individual match fee for members of Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club is $10.00

The match fee for “Young Guns” (students 18 years old or younger) is $0.00 FREE

The dress code for Sunday will be Standard Cowboy Dress.

The forecast is for clear skies and 80 degrees at the start of the match and getting up to 90 degrees be the end of the match. We will have tents and fans setup and will have plenty of iced down drinking water.

As usual we will be holding our Cowboy Social after the match and ya’ all are always invited to join in.

The dress code for Sunday is currently Standard Cowboy Dress. However, the long range forecast is flirting with being hot enough for Cowboy Casual, so I will send out an update on Friday afternoon with the final call on the dress code, but assume Standard Cowboy Dress code for now.

REMINDER, We have emailed out the registration applications for our Inaugural Two Day Match, Gunfight at the Double-C, which will be held on November 7th and 8th, 2015. You can save yourself postage and turn in your registration to BS Walker at our match on Sunday. The application and information sheet are also attached to this email.

After the match we will be holding our Cowboy Social, everyone is invited to join us so bring along your favorite snacks and drinks and join in the festivities. As most of you know, beer, wine, etc., is allowed after all guns have been stored away and limited to the picnic area.

We are also going to be holding a discussion and planning session about our annual two day match, Gunfight at the Double-C during the Cowboy Social.

The match will be run by Enid City Kid, Kuba Kid, Cockroach and Windhorse Rider as myself and several of our regulars will be at the Father Time match in NC.
